About Us

About Us

Bredon Playgroup has been part of village life for over 50 years, offering trusted childcare for local families. As a registered charity we are run by a team of qualified early years practitioners and supported by a committee of parents.

Our ethos

Our mission is to provide high quality early years education rooted in kindness, community, and tailored to every child’s needs.  As an Ofsted registered early years childcare provider, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and are committed to:

  • Ensuring every child has the best start in life
  • Providing a secure foundation through rich learning opportunities
  • Working in partnership with parents and carers
  • Promoting equality and inclusion

We believe that when children feel safe, valued and understood, they thrive.

We have strong links with Bredon Hancock's Endowed C of E First School

and schools in the surrounding area, helping children transition smoothly into Reception.

Meet the Team

Our team is made up of qualified, experienced and passionate early years practitioners who bring creativity, warmth and expertise to every session.

  • Tracey – Playgroup Manager Tracey leads the team with nearly 20 years of early years experience and a deep commitment to child centred learning. Tracey is passionate about leading a playgroup where children develop their individual voices and self-esteem through play and having fun.
  • Jules – Deputy Manager Jules manages the day-to-day running of the playgroup. She loves engaging the children through creative roleplay and making everything lot of fun.  She is also our qualified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo). Jules takes pride in the quickly identifying when children need a little extra help and the resulting support needed.

All staff and committee members hold enhanced DBS checks and follow robust safeguarding procedures. We are committed to promoting the welfare of every child in our care.
